Basics1: Basic Sewing: Part I

OUR NEW BASICS CLASS!

Built for today's garment sewer, this is the new Basic Sewing: Part 1 Class! Our 7 week program will teach basic sewing skills and techniques to help you build your Sewing Sample Book, and use those skills to make yourself a collared short sleeve button down shirt! This revamped basics class will give you the foundation needed for future, more advanced sewing techniques such as pleats and tucks, sleeve cuffs, plackets and pockets, contouring and shaping techniques, and tailoring!

Students should bring a 1" three ring binder with 25 sheet protectors, a notebook, and a pencil to the first class. Basic sewing tools are required, and they will be discussed during the first class. You will be using BERNINA machines in our large classroom, so there is no need to bring your own.
