Reversible Origami Bag
Sometimes you just need a cute little bag to take with you - this no flip bag fits that bill! Lisa will also teach you a handle technique that is NOT included with the pattern instructions. This technique can be applied to all kinds of bags. This is a quick sew that you will definitely make again! This is the perfect bag for kids, or for using during a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up the few items you forgot.
Supplies you will need to bring:
- Your sewing kit - pins and/or Wonder clips (Lisa recommends Wonderclips), marking utensils, scissors, etc.
- Topstitch 90 needles
- Rotary cutter (Rulers are available in the classroom)
- Note: Scissors are highly recommended for cutting since most of the pattern pieces are circles.
- #10 Edgestitch Foot
- All brands make these! This is a requirement for the class as topstitching is upfront and center of finishing you bag.
- Your sewing machine in good working order
Your $40 kit fee includes:
- Canvas Fabric
- Pattern
- Thread
If you do not have or do not wish to bring your sewing machine, a classroom machine can be rented for a $10 fee - please reserve in advance!

Please embrace the learning process whether you love the fabric or not. If you have fabric you would prefer to use, please save it for after the first bag. Class samples are like pancakes, always assume you are going to throw out the first one. Lisa puts class samples she doesn?t love in her closet for unexpected Christmas gifts. #10 or Edgestitch foot is required for class. This bag has tons of topstitching. If you do not have this foot, you will be very disappointed with the result. If you need more reasons to justify the purchase of a foot, please talk to Lisa - this is her ?go-to? foot.
